Player Bio

Sebastian Kris is a dynamic centre entering his sixth full NRL season with the Canberra Raiders, coming off an impressive 2025 campaign where he missed only two games, scored nine tries, tallied 12 try assists and averaged 122 running metres per match. His strong season earned him selection in the New Zealand squad for the 2025 Pacific Championships.

A proud Canberra junior, Kris first emerged as a standout in the 2017 Raiders NYC team before making his NRL debut for Canberra in Round 10 on 18 May 2019 against the South Sydney Rabbitohs. He scored his first NRL try the following week, starting at centre in a 12–10 win over the Bulldogs.

Before entering first grade, Kris represented NSW U16s (2015) and NSW U18s (2017), showcasing his talent early in elite junior pathways.

His breakout at international level came in 2022, when he was selected for the New Zealand Rugby League World Cup squad. In his first game in the black‑and‑white jersey, he produced a first‑half hat‑trick in a dominant 74–0 warm‑up victory over Leeds Rhinos. Kris later made his official Test debut at the tournament.

In 2023, Kris was recognised with the Canberra Raiders Coaches Award for his consistency and contribution to the team.

Across his career through 2025, Kris has played 109 NRL games and scored 46 tries, continuing to be a key strike weapon for the Raiders as he remains contracted through 2027.
