Lydia Turua‑Quedley is a composed and hard‑working halfback whose rise into the NRLW has been shaped by determination and resilience. A Cook Islands international, she built her reputation through strong performances across Auckland’s club competitions and with the Richmond Roses, while also featuring in rugby union for the Auckland Storm.

She earned her first NRLW contract with the New Zealand Warriors for 2025, making her debut that season. Her calm game management, kicking control, and ability to direct a team saw her quickly earn trust within the squad, stepping into the halves and performing strongly at NRLW level.

Turua‑Quedley’s international experience includes representing the Cook Islands at the 2022 Women’s Rugby League World Cup, where she showcased her ability to lead under pressure.

She has signed with the North Queensland Cowboys for the 2026 NRLW season.
