Player Bio
Blake Mozer is a dynamic young hooker for the Brisbane Broncos, recognised for his sharp rugby intelligence, composure, and leadership qualities. A standout product of the Broncos’ development system, Mozer has been part of the club’s pathways since age 13 and progressed into the NRL squad after graduating from Keebra Park State High School.
Mozer’s early promise was clear through his junior representative honours. He made his Queensland Under‑19 State of Origin debut in 2022 and later captained the side in 2023, affirming his reputation as a natural leader in the spine. His performances for Souths Logan Magpies in the Queensland Cup further showcased his creativity and competitiveness, earning him pathway recognition throughout 2022 and 2023.
He made his NRL debut for Brisbane in Round 27 of the 2023 season against the Melbourne Storm, following a strong year in both the Magpies system and representative footy.
In 2024, Mozer continued his rise with eight NRL appearances, contributing a try, a try assist, and 179 tackles at 93% efficiency, which helped cement his status as one of the Broncos’ brightest young prospects.
A shoulder injury ruled him out of first grade early in 2025, though he still managed 12 Queensland Cup games before a broken jaw ended his season. Despite this, the Broncos demonstrated their faith in his long‑term value, extending his contract through to the end of 2027, a move Mozer welcomed enthusiastically.
Across 2022–2025 in Queensland Cup competition, he recorded 46 games and 16 tries, reflecting his continued threat around the ruck and ability to influence games as both a ball‑runner and distributor.
