Destiny Brill is one of the NRLW’s most dynamic and influential forwards, currently starring for the Brisbane Broncos as an explosive hooker and lock. Renowned for her power, agility, and intensity through the middle, Brill has quickly established herself as one of the competition’s elite young talents.
Brill’s rugby league journey reflects her versatility and rapid rise. She first made waves in the women’s game when she debuted for the Gold Coast Titans in 2021, immediately impressing with her physicality and football IQ. Her breakout season earned her the RLPA Rookie of the Year Award, a rare honour that signalled her arrival as one of the sport’s brightest prospects.
After stints with both the Titans and the Sydney Roosters, Brill joined the Brisbane Broncos in 2023, where she continued to elevate her game. She has since become a cornerstone of the Broncos’ pack, playing more than 20 NRLW matches for the club and showcasing elite defensive output, highlighted by tackle efficiencies exceeding 94%, and consistent impact as an interchange weapon or starting middle.
On the representative stage, Brill is a dual‑nation standout. She has represented Queensland in State of Origin, including scoring a try on debut, and has also worn the colours of Samoa, earning Test honours as recently as 2023. She has additionally featured for the Māori All Stars, reflecting her broad representative pedigree and cultural significance in the women’s game.
Brill’s leadership, explosiveness, and relentless work ethic make her one of the most respected forwards in the NRLW. With her contract at Brisbane extended through to 2027, she remains central to the Broncos’ future and is widely regarded as a long‑term force in women’s rugby league.
