Evie McGrath is one of the most exciting young playmakers rising through the NRLW ranks, known for her sharp ball‑playing, game control, and natural running threat. A product of the Shellharbour Stingrays and the Illawarra Steelers pathways, McGrath burst onto the scene with a standout 2024 season in the Tarsha Gale Cup, scoring 11 tries in 9 games and helping guide the Steelers to an undefeated premiership.
Her breakout year earned her selection for NSW Country Under‑19s and the NSW Under‑19s State of Origin side, where she produced strong performances and continued to showcase her playmaking class. McGrath then made the leap into the NRLW with the Wests Tigers in 2024, debuting as an 18‑year‑old in Round 7 and scoring a try while impressing with her composure and attacking spark.
Across the 2024–2025 seasons, she played nine NRLW matches for the Tigers, gaining valuable first‑grade experience and earning praise for her confidence, vision, and competitiveness.
Looking ahead to 2026, McGrath has signed with the Canberra Raiders as a supplementary squad player, joining a club focused on adding emerging talent to its roster.
