Nicholas Tsougranis is a powerful and hard‑working forward for the St George Illawarra Dragons, recognised for his relentless motor, strong carries, and defensive toughness. A proud Arncliffe Scots junior, Nick began playing rugby league at just four years old and has been a lifelong Dragons supporter, making his rise through the club’s pathways especially meaningful.
He progressed steadily through the Dragons’ development system, captaining both the Harold Matthews Cup and SG Ball sides before making his Jersey Flegg debut in 2022. His leadership, physicality, and consistency continued to stand out as he transitioned into the senior grades.
In 2023, Nick made his Knock-On Effect NSW Cup debut and earned selection for the NSW Under‑19s State of Origin team, clear recognition of his high-end potential and growing reputation across the game.
Ahead of the 2025 season, he was elevated to the Dragons’ NRL development list and in Round 15, he realised a lifelong dream when he made his NRL debut against the Cronulla‑Sutherland Sharks, becoming Dragon #289. His debut performance reinforced the club’s belief in him: 162 running metres from 19 carries, 20 tackles, and a level of intensity that showed he was more than ready for top‑grade football.
With his blend of size, versatility, work ethic, and genuine passion for the Red V, Nick Tsougranis is widely regarded as one of the Dragons’ most promising young forwards, poised to become a long‑term asset in the club’s engine room.
