Riley Jones is a dynamic hooker recognised for his agility, vision, and consistent performances across every stage of his rugby league development. He emerged through the Newcastle Knights’ junior pathways, featuring in the Harold Matthews Cup in 2018, the SG Ball Cup from 2019 to 2021, and the Jersey Flegg Cup from 2022 to 2023.
After several strong seasons in the Knights’ system, Jones made his NRL debut in Round 27 of the 2023 season, coming off the bench as a backup hooker in the Knights’ clash with the St George Illawarra Dragons. He continued to develop through regular competition at NSW Cup level, where he built a reputation for his high work rate and dependable service around the ruck.
Jones later transitioned from the Knights system and is now a member of the Cronulla Sharks, where he continues his NRL career as a promising young hooker.
