Tanah Boyd is a skilful halfback with the versatility to also cover hooker, recognised for his sharp game management, reliable kicking game, and competitive edge. A product of the Runaway Bay Seagulls and Keebra Park State High School, Boyd rose through elite junior pathways, representing the Australian Schoolboys and Queensland U16 and U18 teams before entering the NRL system.
Boyd made his NRL debut in Round 24 on 31 August 2019, playing for the Gold Coast Titans against the Newcastle Knights. He went on to amass 69 NRL appearances for the Titans between 2019–2024, featuring as both a halfback and five‑eighth.
In 2024, Boyd signed a two‑year contract with the New Zealand Warriors, joining the club for the 2025–2026 seasons. He made his NRL club debut for the Warriors in 2025, appearing in nine top‑grade matches. In addition to his NRL contributions, Boyd was a standout performer in the 2025 NSW Cup, where he led the Warriors to a grand final victory and was awarded Player of the Match, cementing his value as a playmaker capable of steering a side to success.
Renowned for his leadership qualities and ability to adapt across multiple positions, Boyd adds proven depth and maturity to the Warriors' spine as they push for sustained success. Coming from strong rugby league lineage, Boyd is the son of Shayne Boyd, a former first‑grade prop who played for the Penrith Panthers and Balmain Tigers.
