Thomas Mikaele is a powerful, hard‑running front‑rower for the North Queensland Cowboys, bringing size, experience, and consistent physicality to the middle third. Standing 192 cm tall and weighing 115 kg, he is renowned for his strong carries, defensive reliability, and relentless work rate.

Born in Auckland, New Zealand, Mikaele moved to Queensland as a child and played his junior rugby league for the Goodna Eagles before attending Keebra Park State High School, where he was selected for the Australian Schoolboys in both 2015 and 2016.

Mikaele made his NRL debut in Round 1 of the 2019 season on 16 March, playing for the Wests Tigers against the Manly‑Warringah Sea Eagles at Leichhardt Oval. He went on to play 66 NRL games for the Tigers between 2019–2022, establishing himself as a reliable middle forward.

In 2022, Mikaele signed with the Warrington Wolves in the English Super League, where he added international experience before briefly returning to the NRL with the Gold Coast Titans in 2023. Later that same year, he joined the North Queensland Cowboys, adding toughness and depth to their pack.

Since joining the Cowboys, Mikaele has continued his consistent output, playing 12 games in the 2024 NRL season and 10 games in 2025, further strengthening North Queensland’s forward rotation.

Mikaele is contracted with the Cowboys until the end of the 2027 season, cementing his long‑term role as a key middle forward for the club.
