Player Bio

Fletcher Baker is a powerful middle and edge forward who joined the Canterbury‑Bankstown Bulldogs ahead of the 2026 NRL season. Baker is known for his strong carries, defensive work rate, and ability to play both as a prop and second‑rower.

Born in Muswellbrook, New South Wales, Baker played his junior rugby league for the Muswellbrook Rams before progressing into the Sydney Roosters’ system via the North Sydney Bears in NSW Cup. He made his NRL debut in Round 2 of the 2021 season, scoring a try for the Sydney Roosters in a dominant 40–6 win over the Wests Tigers at Campbelltown Stadium.

Across 2021–2023, Baker played 46 NRL games for the Roosters, featuring in finals football and earning a reputation as a reliable bench forward capable of lifting intensity through the middle. He then moved to the Brisbane Broncos for the 2024 and 2025 seasons, adding 14 more NRL appearances, as well as winning a Queensland Cup premiership with the Burleigh Bears in 2025. [

In November 2025, Baker signed a one‑year development deal with the Canterbury‑Bankstown Bulldogs for the 2026 season, part of the club’s targeted recruitment to strengthen its forward depth. The Bulldogs highlighted Baker’s experience, versatility, and high‑impact play as key reasons for bringing him into the squad.

To date, Baker has played 60 NRL matches, scoring three tries, and continues to develop as a dependable middle forward entering the prime years of his career.
